Tnx for the 40m CW QSO. I got one contact the night the skip was good, running 100 watts to an end-fed random "stealth" hidden wire (violates local townhouse housing CCR rules) about 20 M long and 5 M high. A testament to your FB CW skills. I for one think your use of CW gave many smaller stations a chance for their first contact, that SSB would have not provided. If you believe a first time new one for many is more important than 5 bands mixed mode for just some "big guns", then you made the right choice. Example: my small station reached FJ on 3 bands CW this week, but I could not get a phone QSO. CW forever! Thank you, fellows. I am in Tampa, FL. 26 Dec 0523Z

I was one of the lucky ones in the Southwestern corner of the USA (W7 area)to make a QSO. Windows on 40, 30 and 20 were relatively short. Your efforts were very special to those who were in the DX chase. Many of us did not get through, I'm one of them. My guess is that all of the factors that could be involved in chasing a rare were at play. In michigan it was mostly very difficult copy for me when I could hear you. Then equipment failure took my station down. Parts shipping delay prevented my bringing it back up in time. Trying at two local different local hams homes was too late as propagation was not in our favor on the bands that you were on. But it was a great chase. I look forward to the next rare one. From the NW of USA - I was with you almost every hour of your 7 days! Listening on every reported frequency, both LP and SP, and seldom heard your signals. I did hear you a number of times on 30 and 49, but with signals around S1-S2, and could not be heard. I know you were trying to reach our area, but propagation was not available. In spite of the difficulties, I managed QSOs on 17 and 40, for which I am very grateful indeed. New one for me on any mode - any band. Your effort was outstanding, and your CW operators were wonderful. I think your strategies were the best, and your effort was all that could be asked. Dear Mike and the team. Thank you for making the trip and getting on the air from E4. After 15 hours in front of the radio during five nights, I still need E4 on any band/mode. I am sure that you made a lot of people happy, especially in EU and the Top Band enthusiasts. However, poor conditions and your band choices made it very difficult for (non-retired) hams in this region to work you without a big setup. Thanks for standingby for VK at 1900z today. Your signals were audible from 1830z but were best at 559 around 1910z. Thanks for finally confirming E4 on 160mx at 1915z and thanks to all the EU stations who stoodby. We have had severe local thunderstorms for the last 2 days so static has been a big problem for us in VK3. Thanks for being so patient. Cheers!

Have only four days free time and was sucesfull from 1.8 to 21 mainly cw.Difficult was 30m.When you was strongest on 30m here you worked Ja and W but it is understandably.On 80m i was successful with 20W and GP on first call.

Listened from 1830z till 1900z on 1823.5 but nil heard. VK3ZL was hearing you better at 1845z - I think conditions may have peaked earlier today around 1815z because your 7002 CW was already strong by 1845z. Will try again tomorrow.

Need E4 for an all-time new one. I spent six hours so far in the 40m pile-ups with no luck. Operator yesterday was great, but today's OP is slow, even though signals at 23z are strong as never before. It would be nice if you could call for NA when propagation is good and not work EU...

You had a good signal today (18th)on 1823.5 from 1845z to 1905z but when you asked for VK, qsx up, I did not know where to call - I tried 1824.5, 1825, 1826.5 and 1828.5 but you did not come back. Sunrise is at 1845z so signals are gone by 1910z - will try again tomorrow and so on , but please say how far up you are listening!! Europe was very well behaved today on your frequency. Nice signal on 30mx, 40mx and 80mx By the way, VK3ZL Bob's sunrise is about 20 minutes after mine - he is 300kms further west than Melbourne. Cheers Peter VK3QI

Heard you guys many times amidst QRM and stupidity. Could you call NA only at 21:30 UTC. This is peak in NA, NE coast of USA on 7 MHZ same as JA sunset and EU pileups, but cannot get through. Pse QRV for JA on CW. Pile were so tough for my small ANTs. Condx on 80/40/30m around 22Z is realy gud. We may have propagation around your sunset also. So far I make no contact.

I don't know when the team will work SSB. I am only in intermediate contact with crew.
There is problem with internet in Betlehem in general, so team do not have internet, and they send log from somewere by email, and they do not have online access to this guestbook.

Hi Mat, But will there be any chance for SSB? 2-3 stations are active but all time all stns are on CW!!! Some guys already have QSOs on 4/5 bands CW but many stations need JUST ONE CONTACT on SSB for all time new one!
